Empowering Change Through Peer Support
At Life Quest, we believe in the power of shared lived experiences to foster growth, resilience, and recovery. Our Peer Support Worker (PSW) Training Program is designed for individuals who are passionate about helping others overcome life's challenges, particularly those related to addiction, mental health, and recovery.
This comprehensive program equips participants with the tools, skills, and knowledge to become effective Peer Support Workers, offering guidance and support to those navigating their own recovery journeys.
Program Overview
Our PSW Training Program is structured to provide both theoretical learning and practical skills development, ensuring participants gain a well-rounded understanding of the Peer Support role. Participants will engage in:
Online Modules: Learn at your own pace with weekly lessons covering key topics such as empathy, active listening, setting boundaries, and recovery-oriented practices.
Weekly Virtual (Zoom) Live Workshops: Apply what you've learned in a supportive, interactive environment with peers and facilitators. These workshops provide real-world scenarios and opportunities to practice skills.
Personalized Support: One-on-one coaching and mentorship to ensure you're ready to step into your role with confidence and competence.
PSW Network: As a participant, you will gain access to a PSW Network—a community of peers who are all working toward the same goal. This network will serve as an invaluable resource for ongoing collaboration, support, and growth. As you work in the field, you'll have a space to check in with others, share experiences, brainstorm solutions, and keep each other motivated on your journey.
